Finn MacCools

Finn MacCools is a traditional Irish bar located in the heart of the town, near the downtown triangle called The Gables. It began its life in the early 20th century as William Gallinagh’s Diamond Bar.

Finn MacCool is a hero from Irish mythology, known for battling monsters and creating the Giant’s Causeway in Northern Ireland. Unlike that larger-than-life character, this pub is one of the smallest in town.

It’s a cozy place on a rainy day, and there’s often a good crowd of locals. If it’s sunny, there’s a bench and picnic table out front.

Music is common here, which various artists on the weekend. There is a full bar, with the usual taps, and a jukebox.

A red storefront with a sign reading “Finn McCool’s” on a white building hints at a cozy Ireland pub. Donegal flags hang above, and a wooden bench sits in front on the sidewalk.
